My early '67 also has the emergency flasher switch below the dash. Mine
sticks out of a bracket on the bottom of the heater control. I think it's
a California car, but I'm not certain. I have a map light, but never 
installed it. I put a 4th toggle on the dash of mine for the electric
fuel pump. With 3 unmarked toggles on there already, it was easy to slip
in a 4th.
