Michael, I guess you've never driven a front wheel drive Beta car, right? 
Second gear crunch is a well, well known trait of these gearboxes also! So 
much so that over the years we here at Caribou have sold literally thousands 
of quarts of Redline MTL to Beta owners as it seems to be the only stuff out 
there that will help alleviate that crunch.
