If you place this static spiral in your intake path, it could conceivably
provide better air/fuel mixture, but I don't know if I buy it.  The effects
of swirling the air would probably be lost by the time the air reaches the
valves and combustion chamber.  Even if this did work, it would be ideal
only at one rpm band.  A tight spiral would be needed at low rpm and a
looser spiral at speed.  Where did they optimize it to?  Different engines
have different flow characteristics, so they would have to do a different
design for each car.  Besides, if it were that easy, somebody would have
implemented this years ago.  Spend your money on a good waxing.  My cars
always feel faster after a good clean and polish.
