I do not mean to imply that the Dremel armature is mechanically flimsy --
it seems adequate; or that it is incapable of torque under load -- it does
turn for a while.  However, as load is increased, heating of the winding
is increased and break-down of the coating on the magnet-wire shortly
follows, followed in turn by shorting, then a dead armature.  I'd try
Makita, if one is available.
