Oil for ALFA

I was told by and ALFA mechanic to never use anything less than a 40 weight
oil. A 5w-30 or 10w-30 may be good for other cars but not for an ALFA. He
told me this after I had to have one of the cams replaced and after he
showed me another spider he was working on where the owner use 10W-30.
