This is baloney.  Oil pressure comes solely from the oil pump and not from 
the quantity in the crankcase.  For all intents and purposes the crankcase is 
barely, if at all, pressurized.  The Alfa crankcase is wide open to the 
atmosphere both through the chain gallery and the oil returns at the back of 
the cam gallery.  Pure amatureville here.
