the bypass. After all, the filter is designed on the lines that dirty oil=

is better than no oil at all.

By the way, for those is the UK Partco sell cheap pack of oil filters
suitable for Alfas for about =A310 for 6. These are useful if you want to=

flush an engine through occasionally. Change oil and use a cheap
filter, go for a drive for a few miles and then change to the oil and
filter you really want to use.
