Re: Milano's Equipment

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Hello Alfisti

I am confused and it's Ian's fault.

I checked my Milano's manual and found this model
variation designations:

Argento (Silver) 161.14
Oro (Gold) 161.16
Platino (Platinum)161.36
Verde (verde) 161.24

According to this my Milano's VIN number says it is
a Sliver, but it has what appears to be a Gold
equipment package, e.i. cloth seats, power reclining
seats, power mirrors, power antenna, alloy rims, power
windows, AC, Power locks, and Clarion AM/FM/tape
Stereo with six speakers.

I realy do not care if I have a Gold or a Silver, I
am OK with what I have. It is just confusing and I
hate it when I am that way.

In my experience Alfa was very sloppy with their model coding. I learned one
rule when buying spares for my '71 Spider JR: Always, always have the part you
are looking for with you, have a gauge to measure it with you, never believe
left and right are identical (even if it seems so) and double check everything.
That is because model numbers stamped on a plate in the car doesn't mean
everything on that car is meant to be there...
I once saw a boxer engine of year 1992 and had cams from a 1988 model and the
model '88 was replaced in 1990.

So don't bother with the silver - golden model specification. If somebody asks
you, you just say you have golden plated silver model ;-)

Ciao
Matjaz
