re: speed limits in the sky

Hi Y'all

Well, since I'm one of those "cops"  ( I'm an air traffic controller at 
Los Angeles Center ) the  speed limit for jet aircraft is 250 knots below 
10,000 feet msl ( mean sea level).  I don't work jets that low ( that's 
what approach control facilities are for) I'm not aware of any penalties. 
 Personally I wouldn't want to find out.
