Probably the cable. Anyway, I have done some fixings on the 
speedos. The results are on the web at:

In cas you need a new speedo, I think that Highwood e-mail 
<highwood@domain.elided>  has'em or Richard T Norris  
<richardtnorris@domain.elided>. Try them, they often have parts 
for the 105-series (Highwood for the moderna Alfas too.)
