There's a set of points inside the motor assembly that determine the 
parking. They tend to get dirty or burnt. I don't know how difficult it 
is to overhaul them, but I'm sure you could do it if you're determined 
enough...

My brother's '73 GTV 2000 had no labels. My '71 Spider 1750 had no labels 
either.
