you won't find DOT approved stainless.

stainless steel brake lines are great, but they are high maintenence; you
will need a regular inspection program to make sure that they remain in
good shape. i also like to take the plastic spiral wrap that is sold at
generic parts stores for electrical work and wrap the stainless lines, so
they don't rub directly on other metal parts.

i recommend against drilled rotors, unless you have a fade problem.

they don't have anything to do with brake cooling. really.
