GTV-6 steering dampener?

Hey Folks,

In a long, long ago post (Sun, 11 Dec 1994 18:33 to be precise) Peter
Krause mentioned that the steering effort on the GTV-6 could be reduced
by removing the steering dampener, among other things.  Question is:
What is it, where is it, and how do I remove it?

I'm also interested in some advise on how to set up the alignment of my
GTV-6.  The car is used for weekend mountain drives con brio, and the
occasional autocross.  Still have stock suspension height and AVS
Intermediates.

Last question is, how do I remove/replace the rear seat (bottom cushion)
from the car?
