Re: Ripped convertible top window

After contacting several shops for plastic window replacement, I finally
determined that for what it cost (~$290 just to replace the window), it's
simply not worth it. I'm now contemplating on repair the window myself.
Since the window is made up of vinyl, a thermoplastic, it is theorically
possible to close the rip by appliing heat and filer material. Another
option is to use some kind of vinyl adhesives with or without backing
materials. I found a liquid vinyl repair compound used to repair ripped
inflatable camping gear that looks promising. Had anyone tried to repair
the vinyl window like that before?
