Doug Sedon,thanks!, and an Idea for a place to do work on Alfas

Greetings Alfisti!
      First,a HUGE thanks to Doug Sedon regarding the fan on alfie, my beloved
'87 Milano gold.You were right about the fan relays;I pulled them out one at a
time, cleaned the slightly crusty (aha!) contacts on them, tapped on them
"lightly" (with the end of my Maglite in pouring rain,monsoon season in Va is
back) and plugged them back in.Fan now works better than it did before!Cleaned
all of the contacts on the relays in the engine compartment last January,so it
was time.Seems that a yearly cleaning of the contacts and relay points in the
engine compartment  helps keep the car going. 
      Also, I'd figure that many Alfisti don't really have a proper place to
work on their cars (like me that lives in an apartment complex).I have an idea
that I;ve used many times.For those people that know military ID card
holders;ask one to take you to the the craft/auto shops which are on almost
every military post/base in the US.These places have lifts,tire balancing
machines,bearing presses,engine stands,paint booths in some instances;tools
for loan while there,mechanics to answer questions (not alfa questions
though;you'll only get blank stares)and cost around $1.50 per hour to rent a
bay with a lift.Our tax dollars pay for these lavishly equipped
facilities,finding a way to use them shouldn't be too hard.The alfetta is
going in to the Ft.Belvoir auto shop Saturday morning to fix the shift linkage
and put the trim pieces on;a day in one bay with lift will cost $10.00 or
so,I'll have all the tools I need, and it is HEATED and DRY.Just an idea for
fellow Alfisti........................
