Re: Left Hand Thread Lug Nuts for Daytonas

Joe, in the long run, you'll be much better off if you bite the bullet
now and change the car to RH threaded studs. Every time you take the
car in for new tires, you will have to stand over the wheel monkeys
repeating in a stern tone, "LEFT handed, LEFT handed, LEFT handed..."
(AMHIK). Since I have 2 cars that I swap wheels on from time to time, I
also had to have 2 spare bags of lug nuts to account for the RH/LH thread
mix (different style of nuts on 2 different cars). The next time I do the
rear wheel bearings on my '67 GTV, the last of the LH thread wheel studs
in my Alfas will take a long walk off a short pier. You also want to put
wheel locks on those nice mags, right?

The studs are 12mm x 1.5 mm thread, I believe. Japanese cars use 12 x 1.25,
but Alfa threads are more coarse.
