When you go to this site there is a picture of a loverly car and beneath it is a copy of the KELLY BLUE BOOK
for the car.
Well I don't know about old KELLY but no one else in the USA seems to think that ALFAs are worth as much as
KELLY does.
He says that Alfettas are worth $2700.00 and has equally tall pricing for virtually all other models. The
internet classifieds are full of all kinds of ALFAs for sale and the adds just seem to sit there. I think Alfa
owners(current) are just people that like a cheap performance hobby to buy in to(myself included) and as a
result keep the actual value for these cars at 1/3 or less of what Mr. Kelly thinks. The dealers always
auction of the trade-ins and the move from lot to lot til they go to the lowest bidder.
This is an interesting phenomenon of the American car culture, The sedan pictured is a nice car and I would
prefer it over a BMW 320 or 318 but since I am a all American Alfa Owner my gut instinct tells me it might be
worth $100.00, yet the BMW would bring 10 times that and relatively quickly. This , I am sure has something to
do with the over supply of used cars( in general )and the under supply of people with cash, good credit and
the common sense required to maintain a car. America is changing right before my eyes.
