use your '71 gtwe as a daily driver - ya don't need those huge payments on an
audi a4!  if you must, get something else you fancy, for less $$$ - perhaps a
milano, a spider, or a ?!?  if ya really must spend the big dough, at least get
a de tomaso pantera!

my daily driver is an '86 gtwe6.  the commute is 80-95 miles/day, depending on
the route.  been doing this for over 3.5 years.  but, i have nice, not too
expensive alternatives - '78 ducati darmah, '88 alfa milano werde, '95 buell s2.
the wife's main ride is a '92 164L..  what you're gonna pay for a gnu audi a4
would cover what we paid for our entire fleet!  and we have some spare change
left over for fun bastardization projects, too!  usually also have at least one
vehicle that's running!  :>)
