Starter for 105

I'm looking at a dying starter in my 69 GTV and wanted to get some advice on
rebuilding/replacement.  I've heard some scary things (3-month lifespan)
about cheap rebuilds.  I've also heard scary prices ($350) for full Bosch
component rebuilds.  What's the best route/source?  Any advice/xperiences
would be helpful.
