more carb stuff

Thanks to all who replied to my earlier post about rebuilding my dcoe's. My
new question is. My accelerator pump rod doesn't follow my throttle shaft
"cam" with brisk movement of the throttle. Is this normal, there is no fuel
in the carb right now, just air. My thoughts are it would slow even more
with the thicker medium. What do you think.
