If this is something that you're willing to work for, it can be done. There
are probably more people like you out there that will help too. Start out by
joining the club and feel out who are the people like you. Organize small
events like Sunday drives. Run for office in the club so that you are part
of the planning committee. Work up to autocrosses and then driving schools.
It may take a couple years to muster the support, but it can be done. Our club
did.
