Ref 155 Alarm Problem

I own a 1997 155 TS and have ahd the exact same problem.

The car was returned to the dealer 6 times before the problem was resolved
with the following excuses:-

1. The reciever in the car was faulty (Replaced)
2. The receiver was set to European frequncy and the keys to UK (changed?)
3. The receiver is still faulty (Replaced again)
4. The keys require recoding (Done?)
5. The receiver is still faulty (Replaced)
6. "We don't know whats wrong so we have replaced everything"

The last action fixed it, touch wood the problem has not reoccured for 6-7
months. This may not help but it the best I can do.
