Alfetta C-pillar vents

In no.154, there was a post from Lee in Australia about all the dust
which got into his Alfetta during his long drive beyond the black
stump.    The evidence seemed to be that a lot of it was sucked in
through the "C" pillar extraction vent. ("Extraction my foot!", as
Lee said).   This seems to add further weight to the theory, which
has been proposed from time to time, that some of the exhaust
fumes which Alfettas sometimes have in the cabin may be sucked
in through these vents.  (Presumably, though, only if the tailpipe
exit is not in its original position...... otherwise the car would have
had the problem from new..... and not even Alfa would do that to
us).
