Milano rust proofing

Be sure to check the two "drains" located at the very top of the engine
compartment, near the base of the windshield.  There's one at each back
corner.  About a month after I first got my Verde, I discovered these love to
fill up with leaves, etc. giving you two little water storage tanks.  Another
area I found was beneath the air cleaner box.  A friend who is "between Milano
Verdes" showed this to me.  Just unclip and remove the alloy air box.  They
tend to rub through the inside fender paint there.  I steel wooled the area to
bare metal, sprayed some black paint over it, and applied a small piece of
duct tape to the underside of the air box at the rub area.  These aren't major
structural areas, but it's nice to know they're not rusting.
