Eugene,

Perhaps the difference you're seeing in response from MR2 people and
Alfa people is due to the fact that the qualities that make Alfa special
are less quantifiable than those of a Toyota. In any "objective" sense,
there is no question which car is "superior". It's likely to be faster,
easier to have serviced, have more creature comforts, etc. If these are
the only things that interest you, by all means, sell the Alfa, keep the
Toyota, and get on with it.

That said, I'm on my second spider, and will probably never own any
Toyota. The character, pedigree and driving experience of the Alfa are
unaproachable by Toyota (as a plus, chicks dig it...).

What AMAZES ME, however, is that you presently OWN both of these cars,
and yet are looking to have other people talk you into a decision on
which to keep?!?!? If you're looking for advice, let me offer this:
develop an ability to form your own opinions. If you're not the type to
do that, again, sell the Alfa and keep the Toyota.

If your post hasn't generated the kind of response you'd hoped for,
perhaps it's because the alfisti think it's just silly.
