the floor pan and seat mounting never really changed from '71 (or
earlier)through the end of the run, so pretty much any model year seats
should fit.  keep in mind that luxury typically implies weight, and that
cushy leather seats probably weigh a bit more than what you've got now (i
seem to remember you were looking for performance enhancements for your
spider a while back).

personally, i thought alfa did a pretty good job with the seats in the early
spider, i find them comfortable, and they don't weigh a lot.  the reason i'd
like to replace them in my spider would be to find something with better
side supports, and deeper buckets (for more head/rollbar clearance).

a few years ago i performed a public service for the digest in that i drove
from san diego to boston (one stop) in a '74 spider, for the express purpose
of testing the seat comfort.  i was happy to report that the trip was much
more comfortable than a similar trip in a late 80's dodge caravan (i limped
around for days after that one).
