Legalities

I'm afraid the notion of "common" sense is quite passe here, but I believe
some universities are now offering courses on it.....next you'll be able to
receive certification in "universally accepted judgment and sensibility"...
which will lead to books, spots on CNN, and eventually burgeoning consultancy
industry. After all the Fortune 500 companies have embraced this paradigm
into their corporate cultures, someone will publish an article in the Harvard
Business Review pointing out that in order to survive in the ever-changing,
global economy, "common sense" must be supplanted by "uncommon sense" through
the complimentary work processes of "extrospective visioneering" and
"non-intuitivisation." The latter process, of course, is based on the
learnings from a East Asian ritual of slicing rice paper with wet sea
sponges, thereby illustrating how confining "common sense" can be. The HBR
article will lead to books, spots on CNN, and eventually a burgeoning
consultancy industry. Thus, the cycle of life will have, once again,
completed an orbit. Now do you understand how the US economy has become the
powerhouse it is :)

Obligatory Alfa Content: I have an "intermittant" tach in my Verde. It also
reads a bit low. The connections in the engine bay look fine, but I haven't
checked the interior connections yet. I know of the article on how to
recalibrate your tach, but wonder if it's just a matter of something offering
too much resistance from the signal as a consequence of age. Anybody fixed a
lethargic tach on a Milano without recalibrating it?
