alfa-digest 911 service

hello all,

first, i wanted to thank those that responded to my plea for help on behalf
of my brother.  unfortunately, nobody was close enough to jump in and
actually fix it, but i did get some offers for parts, storage, and advice.

he couldn't have timed this worse - just before the holiday weekend, and in
a remote area of nevada.  i haven't heard back yet, but the plan was to tow
it to steve harris imports in salt lake city today to try to get it
repaired, or to rent something to tow it home with.

something to think about, i noticed two or three requests for emergency type
help on the digest in the past month or so.  unfortunately, most list
members are getting the digest in digest format, as opposed to individual
message format, so please for help don't actually get circulated to most
digest members until the digest gets sent.

how would people (and richard) feel about a digest header keyword, something
like EMERGENCY, or 911, that would send such a message immediately to all
digest members in single message format?

in our case, we referenced the aroc member list and didn't find anybody
close.  having a rapid digest hailing system might be one more useful
resource in times like this.
