I have had a very similar problem with my GT Junior (71).  I replaced U-Js,
support bearing and carrier, engine mounts, trans mounts,  exhoust sys
mounts.

NO LUCK.  I had to stop and think, and guess came to me.  THe rear wheel
bearings.

AND SO IT WAS.
