GTV-6 Sump Guard

With my GTV-6 lowered, I feel I must install some form
of sump guard, homemade or otherwise. How is the one
available from Ricambi? I think I remember a comment
on the digest a long time ago that it was not very
effective, or difficult to install, or something.
Are there other sources or different types? TIA.
