The cooling system on my GTV-6 is due for changing. I
looked up an article in an old Bobcor catalog which
recommends:
a. drain the system.
b. re-fill with a solution of water and
10 ozs. of Sodium Bicarbonate and run
the engine slowly for 10-15 min.
c. drain the system, and allow engine to
cool down.
d. circulate running water with the drain
cock open.
e. re-fill with water only and run the en-
gine slowly for a few min. and drain.
f. fill with fresh antifreeze solution and
bleed system according to instructions
in manual.
Any comments? Good idea, bad idea, not necessary? Got
a better idea? Thanks.
Greg Connolly.
