[alfa] RE: No 59 Twin cam
My first sports car was a 1960 MGA 1600. After many Brit cars over the next
few years I switched to Italian steeds and never looked back. Well, I
occasionally look back. Hence, the following.
No MGA (or MGB for that matter) ever had irs. To my knowledge, this includes
the many race car variations.
MGA twin cam production ran from 1958 to 1960 - the 1600's had nearly the
performance (at least on the street) of the twin cam, and none of the
reliability issues. Oh, yeah, even the first B's did not have a synchronized
first gear.
Of course, I could be wrong.
Peace,
Ben
