[alfa] Paul Irvine's fix for Alfa four-way flasher?

Some years ago Paul Irvine wrote up a way to fix the 70s Alfa four-way
emergency flasher, after it invariably breaks in the OUT/ON position,
draining your battery.  Anyone know where it is now, or have a copy of the
procedure?  All the links I have for Paul's web page are old and inactive.
Paul, are you out there?
