Spark Plugs

Hi Nick

The Champion N12Y's are a good bet, with any ignition setup and UN12Y's
just cannot be beaten - the 'U' denotes double copper plugs. In my
experience, NGK plugs tend to soot up too easily with carburettors,
although they are a bit better with fuel injection engines and certainly
not what the advertising would have you believe.

Be very careful if you have oil leaks from the plugs, this will have
transformed itself into carbon which if you are not very careful, will chew
up the threads. If you get any resistance unscrewing them, use a
penetrating oil (Plus-gas is very good with aluminium) and ease them
backward and forward until they come free.
