Front bumper dimensions ?

Hi,

I have just received my front bumper (fender) back from being rechromed and,
much to my dismay, find it is sufficiently bent to be a long way short of
actually fitting the car.

Does anyone have a bumper currently off the car, and can tell me the
dimension between the two side mountings (captive nuts) ie. the width of the
car ? Also, can anyone with a bumper on a car tell me, if one of the side
mountings nuts isn't captive anymore, is there room to get a spanner in
between the bumper and the car, so that a nut could be used ?
