The relay Glenn refers to is a "Rainco" switch.  If the pressure is
incorrect freon-wise it prevents the
AC from working.  It has a tube that runs to the top of the filter-dryer.
If an incorrect filter dryer has been
fitted it may have been removed.  The Rainco switch is a white box app
2X3x3. mounted on the LH inner fender (wing).
