Mike,

Chris Witor still supplies the leather seal's for the Diff according to
Chris "he gets them from the people Rover got them from". The price is
£8.80 + vat and their much better than the rubber seals. These fit
2000/2.5 and Stag.

I always strengthen the Diff nose piece when over-hauling it. This I
believe was "Standard" Triumph practice (Sorry) for the Rally cars. I do
this by  welding two pieces of metal (out of 1/8th X 1" bar) between the
front of the sub-frame mount (of the nose piece) and the front of the
nose piece. These go on the sides of the nose piece and support the tube
which has been known to break off. 

You do need a heavy duty MIG 150amp for this welding to get the
penetration.
