Hi Harlan

The gaskets are supposed to be reassembled with a smear of light grease. 
However, this is very tricky as they tend to fall off the rocker cover as
you put them back on, so I would advise using a non'setting gasket sealant
such as red Hermetite applied very sparingly on the rocker cover face only.
