When my engine was rebuilt, my rebuilder said that while seven exhaust
valves were fine and could be reused, I had one burned exhaust valve
that would need to be replaced. I then purchased 8 TR7 exhaust valves
(p/n 155524) in order to run unleaded fuel without having to use any
fuel additives. When I got the box of old parts back from the
rebuilder, I found that TR7 exhaust valves had already been fitted!
All of the exhaust valves were marked with 155524 just under the
groove at the top of the valve stem that engages the keepers.

Judging by the condition of the visible ends of the head studs, it's
obvious that the heads had been off at least once before, but I don't
know if the TR7 valves were installed at that time or by the factory.
I wish I had known this before I bought all those extra valves from
Rimmer Bros. at 4.25 pounds (ex VAT) each...
