BL Badge positioning

Hi Nick

Here are the correct dimensions for positioning the 'BL' badge. These
dimensions are taken off a car which still has the originals, fitted in the
orginal position on un-resprayed bodywork.

Bottom edge of badge 59mm up from the first crease in the wing, where it
gets ready to go onto the sill.

Rear edge of the badge 63mm forward of the rear outer edge of the wing (not
where it is creased back behind the door).

These dimensions are identical nearside and offside, which suggests they
were put on with a template (as were the side-stripes) or Robert had a VERY
GOOD EYE INDEED.

Robert isthe name for a BL car worker. The Metro (Austin not GEO) when
introduced was advertised as being built by robots. Consequently all other
BL cars became known as being built by 'Roberts'. Now, do I get the prize
for most useless information of the year?
