Fix it, fiddle with it, tweak it, enjoy it, but DO NOT REPLACE THE ENGINE
if you want to retain any measure of investment in the car.
There are apocryphal stories of early stag enthusiasts who removed original
engines, had them refurbished and stored them on skids in the garage, while
driving around with Rover or other V8 engines for the duration, replacing
the original when time came to sell the cars...........
