RE: Speakers
Hi Scott
1stly don't cut holes in your front door trims, they cost way too much
to replace if you need to and also you would have to butcher the door
maybe weakening the structure. I mounted my speakers to squares of
hardboard which I covered with black vinyl to match the interior and
then attached them over the rear cubby holes in the back of the car. A
mate of mine mounted his under the dash board..

Subject: Speakers
Hello all,
In addition to coachwork restoration, I am applying TLC to the
dash and
woodwork. Since everything is apart, I think that it is past
time to fill
the hole in dash where a radio once lived but which is now
gaping forlornly.
The existing speakers are located in the back, at about elbow
height, just
above the pockets in the panel which backs onto the soft top
stowage
compartment. This panel seems quite flimsy and not the normal
solid
surface within which one would normally mount speakers.
Can anybody suggest the best location for speakers?
Cheers,
Scott
