Yes probably one does have to realise there is some torque converter slip, but
it may be neglible.
Certainly the calulation is good for a manual gearbox.
I have now tested my car and as I drive through the sixty mph mark my rev
counter is a shade over 3000, lets say 3108.7 then I can say my speedo is
completely accurate. I am feeling better already.
