Membership cards

I found out last night from a member of the SOC committee that
membership cards are no longer being issued (certainly in the UK). This
is due to the fact that the magazine is now distributed by a third party
and they cannot insert cards into individual mailings. They decided that
it didn't warrant the extra cost of posting all the cards separately.
