Hi Lenny
According to the Parts Book that thing in section 17.20.28 in the Official
Factory Repair Manual is the fuel trap assembly and fits between the brass
tube outlet on the carburettor flange and the vacuum advance/retard mechanism
on the distributor. this is up to car number LE12027. (Mk1) After that (Mk2)
it goes via the radiator.
