[ihc] Re: ihc-digest V7 #612



I'll take a pic of it and e-mail it to you. It's just an adapter ring, not
too thick, which has the bolt pattern of SAE 2 and SV. I can't remember
which is larger, but you'd have to bolt the smaller bolts on first because
you can't reach them when they are inside the bell housing. The flex plate
has a spacer ring just like with the 727. I have no idea whether it's the
same size as the one for the 727 or not, but it would make sense that it has
to be close simply for the spacing of the starter. I'm also assuming that
the shim for the starter may still be necessary, but I will check that out
before I install the engine. Since this is a diesel conversion, I am in new
territory here. I'll try to paint up the ring a bit so that the patterns are
easier to spot.
