Re: [ihc] RE: Trailering

Well I drove another Touareg today, I am a little confused one dealer said
it was over 6k so I would get the tax rebate if I were running a business,
but looking on edmunds.com it says 5300 - I think the 8 cylinder puts me up
to 6k though possibly - seems like a lot of weight but whatever.. The towing
capacity is 7700 or so, and the wheelbase is 112 - so its short - I imagine
I'll feel like I'm towing a big heavy truck on a big heavy trailer... The 8
is a darn powerful little engine - 310hp, and over 300ft#'s

Ahh well it is not supposed to be a all the time tower, I'll go as slow as I
need to, but I want to be able to tow the scout to wherever I want to play
every month or so.. Tom and Jim, thanks for the replies - I was trying to
make sense of all the numbers you were throwing out - I think that the
heaviest my scout will be is likely 5k, plus 1.7k or so for a trailer? Is
this correct? So likely I'll be right around 7k?

Thanks all,
Jeff
