My bad on the tire size guess ;)

Blocks also increase the lever arm between the pinion and the bottom of the
spring(fulcrum), making axle windup/wheel hop worse.

The OEM 'stack on' style overloads are nice in that you can set them up how
you want them. Tailor the gap to the frame mounts to set the engagement
point, and add/subtract leaves(within reason)to adjust the overload rate.
Not quite as slick as air bags, but cheaper and simpler :)
