[ihc] Re: Diesel Starter running on

John-

Again I thank you! I asked here this time because I feel bad about asking
so many questions on the diesel page, and yet you still take the time to
answer!

I am indebted!

And the reason I kept after this line of thought was that I talked to the
guy at the shop, mentioned some of the culprits that were mentioned on here
as possible reasons for the problem, and the guy instantly said, "Well how
many starters have these guys rebuilt?!?" and became somehwat indignant.

At that point, I decided that trying to suggest there may be some flaw may
not be a good idea.

I took it back to him today, and he said he woudl replace the selenoid, but
he did NOT agree that it could have loose bearings or anything causing a
misalignment, and sicne the selenoid tested fine, it SHOULDN'T be that.

And, from what I have heard, he is far and away the best option around here,
not to mention that I am already out $130 for it, and don't want to have to
go pay someone else to rebuild it again!!!

Anyway, I will keep you all informed-like it or not!

I NEED to get this thing going-I owe some people money and can't sell my
truck until I make this my driver!
