A good anvil is worth far more than the scrap weight!!!  If you can 
locate a local blacksmith's club (yes, these do exist!), you can 
find a buyer. I know a guy here in the NW that wants a nice big 
anvil, but has been unable to find a good one.  In despiration, he 
bought one from Harbor Freight.  On the horn, it turned out the 
casting was defective--the factory had filled in the defects with 
some type of bondo and then painted over it.  Of course you 
can't forge smooth products with a rough porous casting, so 
this Chinese made unit is junk to him.
